Talent Logistix is seeking a Production Supervisor for a local manufacturing company. This position is a contract-to-hire (13 wks, then conversion to staff) position with a stable company that offers full benefits for employees, such as health/vision/dental insurance, life insurance and PTO. They pride themselves on developing talent within and consistently promote team leads and supervisors from quality inspection roles.
Essential functions
The essential functions of this position while meeting or exceeding annual goals and objectives are as follows: Trains and manages production employees on assigned shifts.
Oversees daily workflow and assignments to hit target goals.
Prepares work schedules to ensure efficient operations.
Maintains working knowledge of equipment and processes and notifies maintenance of equipment issues.
Ensures employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedure
Assists with flexing across product lines to maximize efficiency.

Pay: $27/hour
Mon-Fri: 6am-230pm - OT is available - Some Saturday availability
After 520 hours candidate will convert to staff (possible conversion within 520 hours)

Job Requirements

QualificationsExcellent written and verbal communication skills High school diploma or equivalent Thorough understanding of production operations or able to quickly learn production operations and machinery Excellent supervisory and team leadership skills Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office and related software Must comply with legal and corporate responsibilities Functional Competencies These are the competencies that are specified within the relevant functions of the job. The training for these competencies is kept for each team member in the job function training plan in their department. The following motions can be required during the day: Standing or sitting for extended periods of time, stepping up & down, balancing, bending (hip & knees), reaching, standing, walking, pulling, pushing, lifting (from floor to waist, waist to chest, chest to head), observing, hearing, grasping, pressing, and other repetitive actions The position can require continuous motion throughout the day, utilization of tools, equipment, and industrial vehicles, the ability to lift 50lbs, and perform physically demanding tasks as deemed necessary When in the warehouse, this position requires working with dirt/dust and noise. The use of a variety of proper PPE is required to provide a safe working environment. This position requires working with various temperature conditions.

Jena, originally from Goshen IN, made her way to Indianapolis in 2009 when she attended college at the University of Indianapolis. She graduated in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. 

Jena is a mother of one boy- Kamdyn and a dog- Simba. They enjoy being outside and going for walks. Jena enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching Kamdyn play all the sports, BBQs, and all the lake and pool days.
