This employer is seeking an EXPERIENCED Machine Operator/Baler Operator in West Monroe, LA to join our winning team. We offer steady work, above average wages with weekly pay and a full benefits package for those with the skills and knowledge to help our clients achieve their goals.
HOURS: rotating 8-hour shifts, with occasional extended or weekend hours. (Shift times are 6 am to 2 pm, 2pm to 10 pm & 10 pm to 6 am)LOCATION: West Monroe, LA PAY RATE: $19/hr $20/hr DOE
The Machine Operator/Baler Operator will be responsible for operating a Baler in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining the production floor to maximize safe production.
This position will support equipment operations during a work shift and you must be able to work rotating 8-hour shifts, with occasional extended or weekend hours. (Shift times are 6 am to 2 pm, 2pm to 10 pm & 10 pm to 6 am)

This position will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties: Perform pre and post trip inspections of equipment
Safely Load/unload material from trailers
Ensure correct quality of material that is handled
Ensure accuracy and recording of weights
Implementing all plant safety procedures (e.G. Use gladhand locks when entering trailers)
General plant housekeeping
Report equipment issues to supervisor/maintenance staff



Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma or GED OR equivalent required 2+ years' experience operating a skid steer and/or forklift, preferably in an industrial or Recycling facility Experience working in a fast-paced environment A valid driver's license preferred. The ideal candidate will have skills and experience in the following areas:Good customer service skills to meet and exceed customer expectations Ensure that customers and employees conduct all business in a safe manner and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Acts in a professional, courteous, and cooperative manner toward customers and co-workers Works with a sense of honesty and trustworthiness Good time management skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient and safe manner Ability to adhere to work schedule and follows through on challenges as they arise Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules Promotes and upholds the Company's safety standards Ability to operate equipment properly and safely. Strict adherence to OSHA and company policies. Ability to demonstrate proficient operation of forklift and skid steer at the time of interview Ability to sit for extended periods of time Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
