Job Description

Assembly TechnicianThis is a full-time positionAs an Assembly Technician, you will eventually complete all operational processes required to assemble custom build equipment used for nuclear, military and aerospace applications.This position will be responsible for producing conforming components subassemblies and finally completed machines that meet applicable quality control specifications. All work instructions must be followed and a safe, clean and organized work area must be maintained.Applicants should have the following:*A positive attitude and be able to work under pressure.
*Be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision.
*The ability to multi task.
*A good work ethic and good attendance.
*The ability to communicate well with peers, engineers and supervision.
*Take pride in your own workmanship.

Job Requirements

Duties:*Perform a variety of tasks in a production assembly environment using specific training instructions, both verbal and written. *Cross training as requested on different processes in the assembly area for maximum flexibility and productivity. *Ability to read a drawing and perform layout, fabrication and assembly steps in the proper order. *Properly use hand and some specialized power tools. *Perform basic shop math functions to ensure proper measurements are achieved. *Visually and tactically inspect surfaces for finish requirements. *Proper use of the following measurement tools: tape measure and calipers. *Use basic inspection measurement methods on finished work pieces to ensure the conformity of parts. *Communicate with co-workers and supervisor to receive instructions and coordinate activities. *Clean work areas each day as needed. Required Experience:*Educational Experience - High school diploma or GED required *Prior industrial experience in a manufacturing setting preferred *Prior electrical or mechanical experience *Prior forklift operation experience is beneficial
