Job Description - Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic Different from your typical mechanics' position. This is a great opportunity for someone that takes pride in building/fabricating/assembling high-tech equipment.We sell and services heavy duty outdoor power equipment, including construction equipment, to golf courses, sports complexes, parks departments, and other commercial/municipal sites. (Not your typical mowers seen in lawn and garden stores.) We are the exclusive distributor for The Toro Company, and we also service other brands such as John Deere and Jacobsen. All of our equipment needs to be assembled to order.
Primary Job Responsibilities: We seek to hire experienced service technicians to add to our construction equipment service department.Work with the Service Department Manager to maintain, repair and service heavy construction equipment. Ability to troubleshoot problems with diesel engines, and hydraulic and electrical systems.
Required skills:*Experience troubleshooting and repairing diesel, electrical and mechanical construction equipment.
*Proficiency in reviewing service manuals and preparing service-related documents as needed.
*Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
*Familiarity with the construction industry.
*Ability to lift, push, pull and move up to 50 lbs.
