This position will be in Central Indiana(Indianapolis) area. Pay $80, 000.00 - $120, 000.00 depending on experience and qualifications. Ideal candidates will have 5 + years' experience in the estimating and preconstruction of large-scale commercial projects. Minimum 5 + years of work experience in large-scale vertical commercial construction estimating. Conceptual estimating experience preferred. BA/BS/AS or other accredited degree may substitute for up to 4 years of experience. Demonstrated effective verbal, written, and presentation skills. Demonstrated problem solving skills and critical thinking skills. Proficiency in various estimating software, including those used for digital quantity take-off, pricing, and bid invitation. Proficiency in of Microsoft Suite, especially Word and Excel. Preferred experience in pricing labor for concrete, carpentry, casework, doors, demo, and specialties. Preferred experience with preconstruction estimating. Preferred experience with scheduling software. We are seeking an experienced MEP Estimator who is attentive to detail and driven to succeed. Our client is an established Indianapolis area Construction company who has a strong reputation for quality and who is dedicated to continuously demonstrating integrity.MEP Estimator Primary Responsibilities:*Performing quantity take-offs, pricing, scoping, and bidding of construction projects.
*Soliciting and developing relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
*Pricing subcontractor, supplier, and self-performed scopes of work.
*Assessing site exposures/construction risks to appropriately analyze, cost and reflect these in an estimate.
*Assisting in material selection, bid strategy, and estimate presentation.
*Identifying constructability issues through the estimating process, including coordination between drawing sets.
*Identifying value-engineering alternatives.
*Leading the project team through the estimating process on select projects.
*Responsible for preliminary contract and final estimates.
*Ensure that estimates from conceptual and schematic drawings are accurate.
*Reviewing estimates with project managers, superintendents, and other estimators.
*Tracking and documenting historical data for future use.
