This employer is seeking an Fire Alarm System/Wire Installer in Indianapolis, IN to join our winning team. HOURS: Monday-Friday 7am-4: 30pm, LOCATION: Plainfield, IN PAY RATE: $23.00-$29.00 per hour The Lead Installation Technician establishes and maintains electronic security on various systems and with multiple customer programs. This position is responsible for installing and maintaining security systems and/or fire alarm wiring and equipment and to ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes.POSITION SUMMARY: The Lead Installation Technician establishes and maintains electronic security on various systems and with multiple customer programs. This position is responsible for installing and maintaining security systems and/or fire alarm wiring and equipment and to ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Program, install, test, troubleshoot, and maintain low voltage electronic security components. * Install required cabling, access control, surveillance, and alarm systems. * Understand and analyze design documentation and system data to plan and execute installation and maintenance activities. * Operate various security programs including IDS (intrusion Detection Systems), ACS (Access Control Systems), CCTV, Alarms, etc. * Complete high-quality device and component installation activities and maintenance activities. * Participate in configuration of servers, workstations, panels, and other programmable components. * Implement testing to verify high quality installations. * Execute testing to identify and correct system problems at component and systems levels as part of sustainment activities. * Install system raceway and system cabling. * Terminate and test system cabling and all components. * Establish status of equipment racks, enclosure, panels, and all mounting hardware components. * Perform as a reliable contact for field operations with the customer representatives. * Build and maintain strong customer and vendor relationships * Adhere to all state and federal laws and regulations regarding safety and health. * Follow standard operating procedures for efficient business operations. * Maintain clear and accurate operator document/procedures for reference purposes. * Represent the company in a professional image, both in personal and vehicle performance. * Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures. * Participate in training and certification activities as needed. * Perform additional duties as determined by the Company.3+ years experience as Alarm/ Electrical Technician
- NICET Level II-IV for Fire Alarms strongly preferred
- Experience installing, testing, and repairing low voltage fire alarm systems
- Exp. In commercial, industrial, healthcare, education projects
- Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Job Requirements

Job Requirements include:*High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience, vocational -technical school training that included mechanical assembly preferred. Usually three years of industrial assembly experience including two years of industrial bakery equipment assembly and/or maintenance experience. *Demonstrated ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, and component and assembly drawings *Demonstrated ability to operate hand tools *Demonstrated ability to ready, write, and speak English and read and interpret documents, instructions, electrical drawings, and procedure manuals. *Demonstrated oral and written communications skills to effectively interface with all levels of Company management and staff. *Demonstrated ability to perform basic mathematical functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percent, and ratios. *Demonstrated reasoning ability to solve practical problems. * WORKING CONDITIONS*Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear. *Use of hands to touch, feel, or handle and reach with hands and arms *Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. *Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. *Visual acuity required for close work, color differentiation, depth perception, and to adjust focus.
