Job descriptionTLX Skilled Trades has open positions for Contract electricians available (semi-skilled and skilled) within and around the Niles, MI area. We offer weekly pay along with overtime. Electrician Job Responsibilities:*Repair and replace wiring.
*Read blueprints and schematics.
*Document repairs and modifications.
*Mentor apprentice electricians.
*Diagnose and address functionality and safety issues.
*Design and install indoor and outdoor electrical control, wiring and lighting systems.
*Inspect and test electrical systems, including fuses, transformers and circuit breakers.
*Stay apprised of revisions to National Electric Code (NEC) and other relevant legislation, building and safety regulations.
Electrician Qualifications/Skills:*Ability to run and bend conduit.
*Working knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
*Communications skills, ability to interact with other skilled trade professionals, designers, and clients.
*Knowledge of National Electric Code, state and local building codes.
*Knowledge of energy-efficient equipment and products.
*Use of testing equipment and hand tools.
*Ability to work well individually and as part of a team.Hours, Pay & Benefits
*$29-$34/hr based on location and experience
*40-50 hours a week typical so OT a possibility
*Paid weekly
*Assistance in future placement
Job Types: Full-time, ContractSalary: $29.00 - $34.00 per hour

Job Requirements

MUST HAVE ALL PPE INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO HARD HAT, WORK BOOTS, SAFETY GLASSES, GLOVES, HIGH VISIBILITY VEST AND HARNESS & LANYARD Qualified candidates must have a current Driver's License Education, Experience & Licensing Requirements: * OSHA 10- or 30-Hour Training and Safety is a plus * 4+ commercial or industrial electrical experience. * Experience with new builds, renovations, and historical restoration projects. * High school diploma or GED. * Driver's license
