Job Description

Phoenix Based company is seeking an experienced System Sales Engineer to join its growing team. The ideal candidate is a team player with strong knowledge of the electronic security industry. This position will report directly to the Operations VP. Responsibilities:
Become familiar with corporately supported technology and provide input on constantly improving corporately supported solutions
Support the Sales team with determining client needs, product knowledge and experience including developing designs, product specifications, product pricing and completing submittal documentation
Server on the Executive Management Team
Design electronic systems involving access control, video, intrusion, fire alarms and other electronic forms of security and/or services
Responsible for product selection, cost estimates, drawings and equipment lists
Perform high level internal and external training sessions as necessary. Interact with end users via phone or in person to gather information regarding the specifications to be produced, resolve problems and perform basic training to troubleshoot issues
Maintain accurate and current pricing
Work with vendors to support the corporate product line

Job Requirements

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Strong networking knowledge. Knowledge of access control, video, intrusion systems and door hardware. Knowledge of all standard Microsoft office programs. Ability to understand how to wire panels and equipment to recognized standards. Ability to identify issues and determine alternative solutions or resolutions. Ability to convey instructions verbally to lay end users and knowledgeable technicians. Excellent time management skills. Manage multiple priorities. Strong customer service orientation. Able to work both independently and in a team environment. AutoCAD or other drawing program knowledge a plus. Up to 30% travel required for this position. Experience: 5 years working with electronic security, specifically in the video, access control and security industry. BS in Technology or Computer Science a plus. Industry certification a plus. Pay Range $65K - $80K Based on experience.

Previous roles included President of ITECH DIGITAL, VP of Field Services at Defender,  VP of Sales and Marketing of IQ Invision and 22 years at Best Access System finishing his career there as VP of Electronic Security and Sales.

Mark is married 43 years to Becky and has 2 daughters and 7 grandkids. 

He lives in the Indianapolis area since 1995. Mark loves to hunt and fish and enjoys stocking his 400+ bottle wine cellar.
